Ohio State Highway Patrol car

BERKSHIRE TOWNSHIP — A Mount Gilead woman was killed Tuesday morning after a one-vehicle crash on I-71, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Jean Stuber, 61, was pronounced dead at the scene after the incident took place at approximately 7:22 a.m. near mile post 127 in Berkshire Township, according to the Delaware Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Stuber was operating a 2008 Nissan Versa northbound on I-71 when she traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned several times, according to a press release from the Patrol.

Alcohol use is not suspected factor in the crash. Stuber was wearing her safety belt.

The crash remains under investigation.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by Delaware EMS, Berkshire Township Fire/EMS, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and The Ohio Department of Transportation.
