Ashland Source reporter Dillon Carr stopped by the WRDL Studios on Thursday for a weekly segment on The Early Bird’s Word.

Carr highlighted a story that reported a section of Claremont Avenue that is going to be repaved. The $3.6 million project, of which most will be covered by state grants, will likely start in the early summer.

He also talked about a hometown astronaut that returned to Ashland, Col. Robert Springer.

Finally, he mentioned a story about an Ashland firefighter that was charged with rape and other charges earlier this week. The firefighter, Aaron Drushell, 33, posted bail for the alleged crimes.
