GREENWICH TOWNSHIP -A Greenwich man sustained serious injuries after he was struck by a car Wednesday afternoon, according to the Norwalk Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Leonard Barnett, 58, of Greenwich, was transported from the scene by Metro Life Flight to Cleveland Metro Hospital.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Norwalk Post is investigating a one-vehicle versus pedestrian, serious injury crash the occurred at approximately 3:16 p.m. The incident occurred on State Route 13 south of U.S. Route 224, in Greenwich Township, Huron County.
Christopher Williams, 33, from Columbus, was driving a 2014 Ford Transit, south on State Route 13. Barnett was walking westbound crossing State Route 13 when he was struck by the vehicle and landed on the roadway.
Williams did not sustain any injuries.
The crash remains under investigation and alcohol and/or drug usage is not suspected at this time.
