ASHLAND — Santa and Mrs. Claus, their elves and a couple live reindeer are slated to visit Downtown Ashland on four separate occasions in December, according to an announcement posted on the City of Ashland’s website

The holiday characters will be spending time with visitors, offering photo opportunities, serving hot cocoa and guiding young people in their letter-writing abilities in Corner Park on Dec. 16, 17, 18 and 21.

Admission is free to each event and “made possible by donations and sponsorships from individuals and businesses throughout the community,” according to a Facebook event listing.

Children will get a chance to meet Santa and a photographer will offer photos.

The man from the North Pole also plans on bringing his sleigh and two live reindeer with him.

Santa’s elves will also serve a batch of hot cocoa and cookies from Mrs. Claus’ kitchen.

Santa’s Village, located in Ashland’s Corner Park, will also have a North Pole Mailbox, where children can leave letters. All letters that include a return address will receive a handwritten letter in response, according to the city’s announcement of the event.

The event will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 16, 17 and 21.

On Dec. 18, the event will run from 3 to 6 p.m.
