ASHLAND — Ashland County Prosecutor Chris Tunnell has released an indictment list that included 14 felonies that were issued by a grand jury that met for a day and a half last month.
The grand jury issued a total of 22 indictments, eight of which remain sealed, according to a press release issued by the Ashland County Prosecutor’s Office.
The following people were the subject of an indictment and have or will appear before the Ashland County Court of Common Pleas:
• Mark Owens Jr., 34, of Ashland, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs and aggravated trafficking in drugs. The charges were filed in October, but he was indicted on Nov. 17, according to court records, in connection to an incident authorities say happened Oct. 8.
• Braxxton Yoder, 21, of New London, was charged with assault and carrying a concealed weapon. The charges were filed on Nov. 10 by Ashland County Sheriff’s Office and indicted on Nov. 17 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Nov. 8.
• Trenton Johnson, 23, of Ashland, was charged with trespassing in a habitation when a person is present or likely to be present, vandalism, criminal damaging, criminal trespassing and criminal damaging or endangering. The charges were filed Oct. 18 by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office and indicted on Nov. 17 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Oct. 15.
• Raini Moss, 28, of Mansfield, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs in one case. In a separate case, she was charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs. All charges were filed Nov. 18, when she was indicted, according to court records. Charges stem from an incident authorities say happened on Feb. 23 and on Oct. 20.
• Koty Wilson, 34, of Shelby, was charged with improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed by the Ashland Police Department in October and the indictment was filed Nov. 17, according to court records. Charges stem from an incident authorities say happened Oct. 21.
• Yondaz Pigott, 20, of Mansfield, was charged with improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and two counts of carrying a concealed weapon. Charges were filed by Ashland Police Department on Oct. 24 and the indictment was filed Nov. 17, according to court records. Charges stem from an incident authorities say happened Oct. 21.
• Justin Birchell, 31, of Ashland, was charged with aggravated burglary, violating a protection order and assault. Charges were filed by Ashland Police Department on Oct. 27 and he was indicted Nov. 18, according to court records. Charges stem from an incident authorities say happened Oct. 12.
• James Council, 26, of Columbus, was charged with receiving stolen property, aggravated possession of drugs and fraudulent actions concerning a VIN. Charges were filed by Ohio State Highway Patrol on Oct. 11 and he was indicted Nov. 18, according to court records. Charges stem from an incident authorities say happened Oct. 7.
• Daniel Rodriguez, 39, Crestline, was charged with possession of cocaine and three OVIs. Charges were filed by an Ashland County Grand Jury on Nov. 18. Charges stem from an incident authorities say happened Sept. 23.
• Osman Abdi, 19, of Columbus, was charged with two counts of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, one count of carrying a concealed weapon, two OVIs and one count of illegal use or possession of marijuana. Charges were filed by an Ashland County Grand Jury on Nov. 18. Charges stem from an incident authorities say happened Sept. 18.
• Dominic Guidetti, 19, of Wooster, was charged with three counts of vehicular assault. Charges were filed by an Ashland County Grand Jury on Nov. 18. Charges stem from an incident authorities say happened March 18.
• Stanley Gardner, 71, of Ashland, was charged with aggravated murder. The charge was filed by an Ashland County Grand Jury on Nov. 18. The upgraded charged stems from an incident that authorities say happened on Sept. 1 or Sept. 2.
• Justice Price, 19, of Mansfield, was charged with two counts of attempt to commit an offense and possessing criminal tools. The charges were filed by Ashland Police Department on Nov. 10 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Nov. 9.
