ASHLAND — The city of Ashland is offering a free drop-off service for Christmas trees through Jan. 31, according to the city’s website.
The drop-off site is located at 1440 Sandusky St., at the Strine Barn. The site has been accepting Christmas tree disposals since Dec. 26.
Ashland is also offering a pick-up option, where city workers will come to a resident’s house to pick up Christmas trees. The fee for that service is $15.
To arrange for a pick-up on Jan. 6, 20 or 31, call 419-289-9791.
Trees must be placed on the tree lawn, the space between the sidewalk and the road.
Trees left on the tree lawn after Jan. 31 will be picked up and the resident will be charged $25 for each tree, according to the city’s announcement.
