COLUMBUS – State Rep. Melanie Miller (R-Ashland) was sworn-in on Tuesday to her first term as the state representative for the 67th Ohio House District, which includes all of Ashland County and the western portion of Medina County.
“The support I have received from family, friends and neighbors has been overwhelming since being elected back in November to represent this great district,” Miller said. “I’m appreciative of you all, and I pledge to work to ensure we make our district and state a better place to live, work and raise a family.”
She currently serves as the Executive Director of the Ashland Pregnancy Care Center, an organization that provides compassionate care and life-affirming options to women in the greater-Ashland County area who are facing unexpected pregnancies.
Representative Miller has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Digital Media & Film from Cleveland State University. A recipient of the Ashland County Women of Achievement Award and a graduate of the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Ashland program, Rep. Miller is also a member of the Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance.
This swearing-in ceremony of legislators marks the beginning of the 135th General Assembly.
