Mabel Freas, 108, of Mount Vernon passed away at Country Court Nursing Home on Jan. 7, 2023.
She was born on May 24, 1914, to Park and Ida (Bringar) Prichard in Branchland, W.Va.

Mabel was a member of the Central Christian Church. She loved baking and giving her baked goods to friends and family. Mable enjoyed ceramics and made many wonderful pieces. She was a skilled gardner, canner and freezer of home grown food. During the holidays she made lots of homemade candy.
Mabel is survived by her grandchildren Robert D. (Anita) Hooper of Howard, OH, Robin Hooper of Worthington, OH, Don (Lesa) Hooper of Columbus, OH, Jennifer Hooper of Circleville, OH; great-grandchildren Rob (Abbey) Hooper of Powell, OH, Rebecca (Bruce) Nation of Mount Crested Butte, CO, Emma (Dale) Renner of Columbus, OH, Claire Hooper of Columbus, OH; a sister Charyl Prichard of Branchland, WV; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Robert L. Hooper; her second husband Harold Freas; a son Robert H. Hooper and several brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be May 24, 2023 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, 3225 Dublin Road, Hilliard, OH 43026.
