ASHLAND — An Ashland County Sheriff Deputy was recognized Tuesday as the Officer of the Month.
Ashland County Prosecutor Chris Tunnell said in a press release that deputy Garrett Dudte has “shown a relentless pursuit of criminals through a high level of self-initiated activity.”
Tunnell said Dudte uses his training, experience and instincts to create positive outcomes in high-pressure situations. His work has resulted in felony cases involving narcotics, firearms and more, Tunnell said.
“His report writing skills are strong and he is proactive when it comes to conducting necessary follow-up. Deputy Dudte’s diligence reflects the high standards of law enforcement in our community and we are grateful to have him protecting our county,” Tunnell said.
The prosecutor called Dudte a “hard-charging go-getter” who grabbed his office’s attention by his consistency in making cases by being alert and pursuing criminal elements.
Tunnell selects a law enforcement officer each month to “recognize the good work being done” around the county.
Ashland County Sheriff Deputy Curtis Hall earned the recognition in January for his “authentic approach” with youth in the county.
