ASHLAND — Ashland Source reporter Dillon Carr and Nathan Hart stopped by the WRDL Studios on Thursday for the publication’s weekly segment on The Early Bird’s Word.
Carr and Hart talked to hosts about their plans to travel to Missouri on March 20 to cover the Ashland University women’s basketball team as they fight for a chance to win a Division II national championship.
The Eagles face UT Tyler on March 20 in St. Joseph, Mo. as part of the NCAA DII quarterfinals.
Carr, Hart and Curt Conrad will be there to cover the matchup.
Conrad will focus on in-depth game coverage, while Carr will capture moments through photojournalism. Hart will be actively covering the game on Ashland Source’s social media platforms.
Should AU win on March 20, the team would advance to the national semifinals on Wednesday, March 22.
A vicory on March 22 would send AU to a national championship date on April 1 in Dallas, Texas. Ashland Source will be there for the entire ride, thanks to a sponsorship with Spherion Mid Ohio.
