ASHLAND — Ashland Source reporter Dillon Carr stopped by the WRDL Studios on Tuesday, April 18 for the publication’s weekly segment on The Early Bird’s Word.
Carr talked about how the Ashland County Health Department is spending $230,000 on a van outfitted as a mobile vaccine clinic.
The mobile clinic will be used to target Amish and other isolated populations throughout the county, said Vickie Taylor, ACHD’s health commissioner.
Her hope is the mobile vaccine clinic will also be used for health education outreach and the administration of other immunizations.
He also spoke about Christina Stump’s presentation on bobolinks, a threatened species of migratory bird that she fears will lose habitat if Ashland County commissioners decide to install solar panels on abandoned landfill mounds at Byers Woods.
