NANKIN — Mapleton Local Schools hosted an open house for all of its families and students on Thursday night.
Students and their parents traversed the hallways finding lockers and meeting teachers. Tables were set up for students to connect with resources and activities ahead of the year.
The elementary school had a Western theme for the open house. Students could get photos at a photo booth and teachers wore shirts with lassos saying “Howdy” on them.
Mapleton’s school year officially starts on Aug. 16.
