Columbia thumps Mapleton
Columbia rolled over Mapleton 56-14 in Friday night’s high school football playoff opener for both squads at Columbia Station.
The favored Raiders rolled to a convincing victory that included a rolling clock in the second half.
Mapleton finished the season 5-6.
Columbia will take a 10-1 record into next week’s second round.
Archbold overwhelms Fredericktown
Archbold dominated from start to finish in an imposing 37-6 win over Fredericktown in Ohio high school football on Oct. 27.
Archbold jumped in front of Fredericktown 8-0 to begin the second quarter.
The Blue Streaks fought to a 30-0 intermission margin at the Freddies’ expense.
Archbold thundered to a 37-6 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
