Hillsdale Local Schools dedicated its new veterans memorial as part of its Veterans Day celebration on Nov. 10, 2023. The funds for the memorial were raised by a senior Hillsdale Eagle Scout, Lance Tucker.

ASHLAND — Schools across Ashland County honored veterans Friday with assemblies and breakfasts in their honor.

Hillsdale Local Schools

Hillsdale Local Schools hosted a Veterans Day program with 80 people in attendance and dedicated a memorial on school grounds.

Ashland County Community Academy

Students at Ashland County Community Academy participated in and planned an assembly. Bob DeSanto, a local veteran who runs a law firm in town, spoke at the academy’s ceremony.
