ASHLAND — Shoppers at the Ashland Buehler’s, located on Sugarbush Drive, may have noticed a construction area as they walk in the front doors.
That construction will result in the installation of an in-store Starbucks location. It will also feature grab-and-go meal items for customers, according to Mike Davidson, the president and CEO of Buehler’s.
“This is a great store for Buehler’s,” Davidson said. “Ashland is a great community to operate in and we always love to update in order to offer the best experience to our customers.”
Grab-and-go options will include hot pizza, a hot chicken bar, salads, a sandwich shop and sushi.
With the new service, Davidson said the store will hire 25 new employees.
Davidson added other renovations are ongoing in the Ashland Buehler’s. The store is in the process of adding LED lighting and new decor, too.
The Starbucks, he said, plans to open March 25. The rest of the renovations will be complete in the late spring — sometime in April or May.
But, Davidson said customer experience remains the top priority. Thanks to that, most of the construction has happened at night so customers don’t deal with the noise while they shop.
The store plans to remain open for the duration of the project. The restaurant in Buehler’s is also open during construction.
At the end of the day, Davidson said the renovations will offer the best of Buehler’s.
“We want you to come to that store and enjoy it, and grab a coffee and hot dinner, and enjoy your shopping in a one-stop shop,” Davidson said.
