ASHLAND — The following criminal charges were filed in January with Ashland County Court of Common Pleas.

The court did not close any cases in January.

Indictments

The following 23 people were the subject of an indictment and have or will appear before the Ashland County Court of Common Pleas: 

Lonnie Butler, 62, of Ashland, was charged with nine counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance. The charges were filed Jan. 12 by an Ashland County grand jury in connection to incidents authorities say happened July 21, 2021.

David Cales, 18, of Navarre, was charged with failure to comply with an order or signal of police. The charge was filed Jan. 8 by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Jan. 6.

Joseph Cutlip, 38, of Ashland, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle. The charge was filed Jan. 8 by the Ashland Police Department in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Jan. 6.

Rickey Davis, 60, of Ashland, was charged with burglary and misdemeanor theft. The charges were filed Jan. 4 by the Ashland Police Department in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Jan. 2.

Carmichael Dillow, 25, of Columbus, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a defaced firearm. The charges were filed Jan. 12 by an Ashland County grand jury in connection to an incident authorities say happened April 2, 2023.

Christopher Ferrell, 51, of Ashland, was charged with cruelty to companion animals and unlawful possession of a dangerous ordnance. The charges were filed Jan. 2 by the Ashland Police Department in connection with an incident authorities say happened on Dec. 29, 2023.

Bradley Graber, 37, of Ashland, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of a fentanyl-related compound. The charges were filed Jan. 11 by an Ashland County grand jury in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Oct. 15, 2023.

Caleb Hale, 29, of Greenwich, was charged with receiving stolen property, possession of drugs and two counts of failure to comply with an order or signal of police. The charges were filed Jan. 12 by an Ashland County grand jury in connection to incidents authorities say happened on July 20-21, 2022.

Joseph D. Harbaugh, 21, of Homerville, was charged with tampering with evidence, possession of a fentanyl-related compound and having weapons while under disability. The charges were filed Jan. 12 by an Ashland County grand jury in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Feb. 14, 2022.

Richard Humphrey, 36, of North Olmstead, was charged with abduction and disrupting public services. The charges were filed Jan. 11 by the Ashland Police Department in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Jan. 9.

Casey Hunt, 37, of Ashland, was charged with possession of LSD and two counts of aggravated possession of drugs. The charges were filed Jan. 12 by an Ashland County grand jury in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Nov. 18, 2023.

James Jenkins, 38, of Columbus, was charged with failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer. The charge was filed Jan. 16 by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Jan. 13.

Robert Johnson, 58, of Savannah, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of a fentanyl-related compound. The charge was filed Jan. 12 by an Ashland County grand jury in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Oct. 25, 2023.

Joey Kotz, 29, of Bordentown, N.J., was charged with counterfeiting and possession of cocaine. The charge was filed Jan. 11 by the Ashland Police Department in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Jan. 9.

Roy Leonard, 43, of Columbus, was charged with breaking and entering. The charge was filed Jan. 29 by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Dec. 5, 2023.

Nina Nephew, 18, of Cincinnati, was charged with theft. The charge was filed Jan. 9 by the Ashland Police Department in connection to incidents authorities say happened between Jan. 4-7.

Emily O’Brien, 19, of Perrysburg, was charged with theft. The charge was filed Jan. 9 by the Ashland Police Department in connection to incidents authorities say happened between Jan. 4-7.

Amont Owens, 46, of Ashland, was charged with domestic violence, strangulation, intimidation and making a false allegation of a peace officer. Charges were filed Jan. 16 by the Ashland Police Department in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Jan. 12.

Joshua Roseberry, 35, of Ashland, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs and possession of a fentanyl-related compound. The charges were filed Jan. 11 by an Ashland County grand jury in connection to an incident authorities say happened on June 28, 2023.

Christian Rowe, 24, of Ashland, was charged with assault. The charge was filed Jan. 11 by an Ashland County grand jury in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Dec. 16, 2023.

Brendan Sanders, 21, of Ashland, was charged with theft from a person in a protected class. The charge was filed Jan. 16 by an Ashland County grand jury in connection to an incident authorities say happened between Oct. 15, 2022 and Dec. 2, 2022.

Tyler Schaeg, 42, of Ashland, was charged with failure to provide notice of tampering with an odometer and tampering with records. The charges were filed Jan. 12 by an Ashland County grand jury in connection to an incident authorities say happened between Feb. 2, 2022 and Nov. 27, 2023.

Joshuan D. Wolfe, 44, of Loudonville, was charged with being a fugitive from justice for an alleged crime committed in Virginia. The charges were filed Jan. 18 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Jan. 17.
