ASHLAND — The Arrows are heating up at the right time.
Ashland (9-11) picked up the No. 14 seed in the 20-team Northwest District and will welcome No. 16 Fremont Ross (5-13) to Arrow Arena for a Division I sectional semifinal game at 7 p.m. Feb. 27.
The Arrows have won three of their last four and are 6-3 in their last nine games. A victory over the Little Giants would send Ashland to a sectional championship game at No. 6 Toledo St. John’s at 7 p.m. March 1.
Division III
Crestview earned the No. 1 seed in the 13-team Norwalk district field and opted for a first-round bye. The Cougars (18-1), who lost their first game of the season on a buzzer beater Saturday night at Norwalk St. Paul, will host either No. 10 Northwood (5-12) or No. 11 Bucyrus (4-14) in a sectional final at 7 p.m. March 1. Northwood entertains Bucyrus at 7 p.m. Feb. 27.
In the Northeast District, 17th-seeded Mapleton (13-6) took a bye and will host either No. 18 Youngstown Valley Christian (12-7) or No. 26 Burton Berkshire (9-9) for a sectional championship at 7 p.m. March 1.
No. 49 Loudonville (6-13) will either play at No. 7 Triway (15-5) or host No. 50 Black River (2-15) in a sectional final at 7 p.m. March 1. Triway hosts Black River at 7 p.m. at 7 p.m. Feb. 27.
Division IV
In the Northeast District, Hillsdale (14-5) earned the No. 10 seed. The Falcons will host No. 38 Salineville Southern for a sectional title at 7 p.m. Feb. 27.
