On March 19 the citizens of our county will vote to elect the new sheriff of Ashland County.
I believe it is essential that each of us take the time to do our diligence to look closely at the differences between the two candidates.
This election should be determined on the merits of their qualifications not by misinformation being circulated on social media. If you do this, you will find that Chad Enderby is much more qualified to lead the Ashland County Sheriff’s Department.
I have worked with Chad on the Civil Service Commission for the City of Ashland. I have always found him to be professional, informed, prepared, and always focused on the task at hand.
Chad Enderby has risen through the ranks of the Highway Patrol to lead men and women in the field as both a post commander and a district staff lieutenant overseeing 240 law enforcement personnel.
Chad Enderby is a straightforward communicator who has a vision and a plan moving forward for the Sheriff’s Department.
Chad Enderby is a conservative Republican who is pro-life, pro-second amendment, and will protect your constitutional rights. He will be fiscally responsible and will adhere to all these principles and not that of any one individual.
Chad Enderby has 30 years in law enforcement having retired from the Highway Patrol in 2021. During that time he managed over 240 law enforcement personnel involved in training and evaluations, along with hiring and firing.
Kurt Schneider was in law enforcement for 13 years and has not served in law enforcement since 2016. Kurt Schneider also only manages approximately 5 employees at his Beer & Wine drive-thru.
Since Chad’s retirement in 2021, he has taken the job of HR Director for the City of Ashland, giving him even more experience in employee personnel matters.
Chad Enderby already has a good working relationship with the other law enforcement agencies and first responders in Ashland County from all his years in law enforcement and his role as HR Director for the City of Ashland.
Chad Enderby will work with the County Commissioners, the Mayor, and the City Council to bring back 911 services to our county. This cannot be done on day one as Kurt Schneider is promising.
It will be a collaborative effort of everyone involved to get this accomplished and Chad will be leading the way.
Chad Enderby has no conflicts of interest in running for Sheriff and he is the only one who checks all of the boxes.
Chad Enderby will bring strong leadership to the Ashland County Sheriff’s Department so the citizens of our county will continue to receive the quality and timely service that they deserve.
Please cast your vote with me for the next Sheriff of Ashland County – Chad Enderby.
Respectfully,
Scott L. Brown
Ashland, Ohio
