Stasia Bell, 76

Stasia Bell, 76 of Ashland formerly of Archbald, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday morning, February 15, 2024 in Lutheran Village of Ashland.

She was born on June 19, 1947 in Eynon, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late John and Stasia (nee Marchelitis) Manko.

Stasia graduated from the former Archbald High School, Class of 1965. She was employed for many years as a transportation aide for the NEIU and previously as a hairdresser and bartender.

She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. Throughout her life, she enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, crafting, and flower and plant gardening.

Stasia was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who found beauty in everything on earth.

She is survived by her two daughters, Roxann (Brian) Mauro of South Carolina and Christina (Tom) O’Neill of Ohio; one son, John Bell of South Carolina; five grandchildren, Crystal (Chris) Reissman, Del Pierce, Katherine (Jason) O’Neill Vermeulen, Dr. Rebecca O’Neill, and Thomas O’Neill; two great grandchildren, Olive Anastasia Reissman and Rose Vermeulen; one sister, Gloria Wandall of Georgia; and one brother, Donald Manko of Pennsylvania.

In addition to her parents, Stasia is preceded in death by her siblings, Rose Yeselevige and John Manko.

Funeral services will be held, Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Harrison Funeral Home, 374 North Main Street in Archbald with Father Ryan P. Glenn presiding. Interment will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice of North Central Ohio, especially Gretchen Kincaid; and Lutheran Village for their comfort and care that was given to Stasia during her stay.
