ASHLAND — Trinity Lutheran Church will be hosting the annual Community Good Friday Service sponsored by the Ashland County Ministerial Association.
The service is an opportunity for community and church members from all over Ashland to join in the observance of Good Friday.
The service will center on the “The Seven Last Words of Christ” and will bring together ministers and musicians representing more than a dozen area churches.
Scheduled speakers include Sherry Bouquet, Fostering Family Ministries; Pastor Kevin McClain, Trinity Lutheran; Pastor Dave McNeely, New Life Community; Pastor Miguel A. Acosta, Stone Lutheran; Rev. Kathy Kollar, Pleasant Valley & St. Paul Lutheran Churches, Lucas; Rev. Brian Layman, First Church of the Brethren; and Pastor Eric Abel, Bethel Chapel.
The service will include scripture reading, prayer, a musical selection, a meditation and a congregational hymn.
The community is invited to “come when you can and leave when you must.” The service will be held on Friday, March 29 from noon to 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 Center Street in Ashland.
The service will also be streamed live on the church website at www.trinityashland.org.
Parking is free and Trinity Lutheran Church is handicap accessible. All are welcome.
