ASHLAND — Around 50 tables sharing post-graduation career and education options stood throughout the Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center on Tuesday for the center’s annual career fair.

Mary Bruno, the adult education business services coordinator, organized the event, which she said brought more options in for students to explore than last year’s career fair.

It featured local businesses, branches of the military and higher education options for students to collect more information about. The Ashland Fire Department, police, Ohio Department of Transportation and State Highway Patrol also attended the Career Fair.

Juniors, seniors and students from the adult education center had the chance to participate.

Bruno added they tried to bring in at least one business that matched each program the career center offers.

Bruno said she’d seen lots of good interactions throughout the day between students and the businesses and organizations present.
