Shirley L. Cutlip, age 91, of Ashland, passed away on May 5, 2024 at The Inn at Ashland Woods.
Born in Gassaway, West Virginia on November 28, 1932 the daughter of Rufus and Ethel (Lloyd) Halstead, she was an Ashland County resident most of her life.
Shirley was a homemaker. She also bowled in the Coffee Clatch Bowling League and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
On September 17, 1949, Shirley married her husband of 73 years, Melvin J. Cutlip who preceded her in death on September 24, 2022.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law: Michael (Stephanie) Cutlip of Huron, Ohio, Mark (Pat) Cutlip of Milton, West Virginia and Jeff (Marsha) Cutlip of Ashland; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren, three step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Melvin, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 8, 2024 at 12:00 pm at the Heyl Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Estep officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Ashland County Memorial Park.
