SHELBY — ArcelorMittal Construction, with a location at 132 West Main Street in Shelby, has acquired the Italian and Spanish businesses of Italpannelli SRL.
The acquisition marks the second of two acquisitions made by ArcelorMittal with Italpannelli, following the purchase of the German business in March 2023.
Italpannelli SRL and Italpannelli Iberica operate two production plants in Spain and Italy, respectively, and employ a workforce of 260 people, according to the company.
The two plants have a combined production capacity of 13 million sandwich panels per year, which serves customers in a range of European, French, German, Italian, and Spanish markets, the company reported
The acquisition will significantly increase ArcelorMittal Construction’s capabilities in its panel business and offer significant growth potential.
The company stated it now has a wider range of product and service offerings and will be able to offer customers in new markets.
