Ralph Nelson Daniels, 84
Ralph Nelson Daniels, 84 of Ashland passed away Monday morning at Brethren Care.
He was born on September 23rd 1939, to Ralph “Tom” Daniels and Ruth (nee Gerwig) Daniels of Ashland, Ohio.
Ralph graduated from Ashland High School in 1959 and later went on to work as a truck driver for Over the Road.
On June 6th 1964, Ralph married the former Barbara “Barbie” Reed, with whom he shared two sons; Kevin Allen Daniels and Timothy (Kimberly) Daniels.
Ralph proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States National Guard and was honored by the Brethren Care Staff for his service.
In his free time, Ralph enjoyed playing softball and bowling at Luray and King Lanes. He was a member of the Park Street Brethren church where he served as an officer and was also a member of the Ashland Eagles 2178 for more than 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Barbie; his son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Kim of Ashland, Grandchildren; Randi (Sean) Daniels-Blair, Tim Daniels, Jakob Daniels, Sammi Matthews, Shirleeah Pasco, Tyler (Corrine) Daniels, Tanner (Katelyn) Daniels, Emmalea (Justin) Brinker, Dan Kettering; Nine great grandchildren, a sister, Ruth Ann Daniels of Perrysville Ohio, and Brother-in-law, Dale Smith of Perrysville Ohio.
Ralph is Preceded in death by his parents; his son Kevin who passed away in 2013 and his sister, Beverly Smith who passed away in 2009.
Per the family’s wishes, no services will be conducted.
In Lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask a donation to be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in Ralph’s memory.
