ASHLAND — The annual summer series of United Way of Ashland County’s popular Fun Fridays comes to a close this Friday, Aug. 2 at a new location.
Due to the weather forecast for Friday, the event will be in the Green Building at the Ashland County Fairgrounds. Don’t forget to bring your chairs and be ready to eat and dance and sing.
This summer series is in partnership with the Ashland Public Library summer reading program. Lunch and programming will begin at approximately 11:45 a.m. Lunch this month will be provided by several local pizza restaurants. T
he Ashland Wooster Drive In will once again be providing hot dogs and popcorn. Whits will be there with its frozen custard trailer.
This summer time staple is provided by the generosity of our sponsors: Presenting Sponsor – Ashland City Schools Teacher Association, Entertainment Sponsor – BCU Electric, South Street Grille, Bo Lacey Construction, Charles River, Will O’Dell Nursery, and Bill Harris Dealership. Bringing in the Fun – Moritz Material, LSS the Good Shepard, The Inn at Ashland Woods, Sutton Bank, Gregg Orthodontics Inc, Paullin Sealcoating, Collaboration Partners, Ashland University and Akron Children’s.
Food provided by local pizza places on Aug. 2. Ashland Wooster Drive in will provide hot dogs and popcorn.
The entertainment includes Mr. Jeff is Fun Music. Come enjoy lunch, entertainment, and get signed up for the APL summer reading program and all ages are welcome to the event.
Goodwill donations are appreciated and are used to buy school supplies for the Back 2 School event in August. This Fun Fridays will be held in the Green Building at the Ashland County Fairgrounds with food and entertainment beginning at 11:45 a.m. and concluding at 1:00-1:15 p.m.
