Janet L. Stoufer
Janet L. Stoufer, 91 of Ashland passed away Sunday evening, August 25, 2024 at Brethren Care Village.
She was born on June 10, 1933, in Ashland County, the daughter of the late Robert L. and Hazel (Motter) Stoufer.
Janet graduated from Ashland High School and then received her Bachelor of Secretarial Science degree from Ohio University.
While Janet never married, she lived an active and full life. For many years she served as the administrative assistant to Mr. Harvey Young, President of the then First National Bank of Ashland. She was a long-time member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Ashland.
She was a die hard fan of Cleveland sports teams, always watching “her” Browns and Indians (Guardians).
Janet is survived by nephews, Michael (Linda) Stoufer of Waynesville, NC and William (Terry) Stoufer of Dunnellon, Florida.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Stoufer in 2003.
Janet will be buried next to her parents in the Ashland Cemetery at a later date.
