ASHLAND — It’s never too early to get into the Halloween spirit at the Freer Home museum.
“We are thrilled to announce the return of our beloved Halloween House, featuring a unique, all-indoor experience that has proven to be a hit,” the organization stated in a press release.
“Following the success of last year’s family-friendly Halloween House event — which was moved entirely indoors for the first time — we are excited to continue this format in 2024.”
This year, open hours will be extended from one Saturday to six spooky nights, allowing more families to join the fun.
The Freer Home, which has recently undergone renovations, will showcase exciting new exhibits this Halloween season.
Visitors can explore the newly renovated juvenile detention cells in the basement, adding an extra layer of eerie intrigue to the event.
Additionally, the First Responders Exhibit features a chilling display about the last public hanging in Ohio, sure to intrigue and captivate visitors on the first floor.
The Freer Home will be open for tours on Oct. 17, to 20, Oct. 26 and 27 from 6 to 8 p.m.
There are self-guided tours at a discounted rate of $3 per adult and $1 per child (children ages 3 and under are free).
Don’t miss out on this spooktacular event for the whole family. Mark your calendars and prepare for a hauntingly good time at the Freer Home.
