Football player stiff-arms a tackler

PLYMOUTH — Crestview’s Ayden Reymer ran for 84 yards and two touchdowns as the Cougars cruised past Plymouth 34-0 in Friday night’s Firelands Conference encounter.

Reymer scored first on a 4-yard run midway through the first quarter, and the Cougars were in command throughout.

Gavin Barker added a 1-yard TD plunge and Liam Kuhn’s conversion pass to Nolan Moore made it 14-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Bransen Hider tacked on a 4-yard rushing score, and Kuhn rammed it in from the 1. Reymer capped the second-quarter eruption with a 9-yard touchdown bolt for a 34-0 halftime bulge.

The second half was played with a running clock and neither team scored.

Kuhn finished 9-of-12 passing for 124 yards, while Barker had 49 yards rushing.

The Cougars dominated the game statistically. Crestview led in first downs (17-4), rushing yards (205-89), passing yards (124-24) and total yards (329-113).

The Big Red fall to 1-6 overall, 0-4 in the Firelands, and will host New London next week.

Crestview is now 3-4 overall, 3-1 in the league and will travel to St. Paul on Saturday.

In recent action on Sept. 20, Plymouth faced off against Norwalk St Paul and Crestview took on New London on Sept. 20 at New London High School.
