JEROMESEVILLE — Brock Bower scored two touchdowns, one on each side of the ball, and Hillsdale’s undefeated football season remained on track with a convincing, 34-14 beating of Waynedale on Friday night.
Bower accounted for all the Falcons’ scoring in the second half, punching it in on a 2-yard run and adding a 38-yard pick-six.
Sophomore Kael Lewis threw a touchdown pass to Hayden McFadden, and Owen Sloan chipped in an 8-yard scoring run to open a 14-0 second-quarter lead.

Waynedale responded on Ethan Garrod’s 49-yard TD jaunt to slice it to 14-7.
But Lewis and McFadden hooked up again on a 38-yard touchdown pass to make it 21-7 at halftime.
Bower’s performance dominated the second half and helped the Falcons improve to 7-0 overall, 4-0 in the Wayne County Athletic League.
Lewis threw for 179 yards, while Sloan rushed for 70 yards.
The game was even statistically, with the Golden Bears getting the best of the rushing totals 147-79, and total offense, 313-258. Hillsdale had 13 first downs to Waynedale’s 11.
The Falcons host Northwestern next week.
The Golden Bears drop to 1-6, 1-3, and host Chippewa on Friday night.
