Nicole Marie Carpenter, 42 of Ashland passed away, early Thursday morning, October 3, 2024, in her home with her family by her side as she went home to be with the Lord.
She was born on June 27, 1982, in Columbus, the daughter of Randall (Dawn) Colby of Cardington and Theresa (Gary) Hinkle of Mansfield.
Nicole graduated from Hillsdale High School, Class of 2001. She furthered her education at North Central State College in the nursing program.
Nicole married Kyle Carpenter in Las Vegas on August 18, 2018, who survives.
Nicole was employed at Kokosing where she met her husband, Kyle. The two settled down in Ashland, made a life with each other and loved going camping on the weekends with Nicole’s very special friend Mara, and her husband Josh.
Throughout her life, Nicole had a contagious personality, making friends with everyone, always trying to make them smile and do her best to help those around her. She definitely, was an avid shopper; her fashion sense was one of her favorite things to show off; but most of all, she lived her life for her husband, children, grandchild, family, and friends; and the many vacations they enjoyed together. Above all, Nicole loved God with all her being, trusting him every step of her journey as she fought a long and courageous battle to cancer.
In addition to her parents and husband, Nicole is survived by her four children, Morgan and Miley Graffice, Ryder Cahill, and Kinlee Carpenter, all of Ashland; one grandson, Nash Kirkpatrick of Ashland; her siblings, Chris (Jaime) Puckett of Ashland, Tommy (Miranda) O’Toole of Ashland, Randy Colby of Columbus, Katy Colby of Cardington, and Tara Iceman of Ashland; her maternal grandparents, JoAnna Smith of Ashland and Charles (Katherine) Billingsley of Cleveland; her mother-in-law, Sandi Carpenter of Jeromesville, and lifelong friend Samantha White of Ashland.
Nicole is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Art Carpenter and her Mother Dawn Colby.
Nicole had many nieces and nephews that she loved so dearly.
Not to mention, she had countless friends and family that were such an instrumental part of who she was. There are so many special people to Nicole, and we couldn’t list them all, but you know who you are!
