Beverly I. Esbenshade, 89
Beverly I. Esbenshade, 89 formerly of Ashland, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 20, 2024 at her home in Sistersville, West Virginia.
She was born in Ashland, Ohio on July 31, 1935, the daughter of the late William and Lavera Swindaman. Beverly graduated from Ashland High School in 1953 and Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in 1956.
Her nursing career began at Samaritan Hospital, she worked 22 years for Dr. H. V Marley’s private practice, and retired from the infirmary at The Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio.
Beverly is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Joe) Parrish of Iowa, Sue (Dennis) Madsen of West Virginia and five grandchildren; Lindsay (Matt) Harbison of Maryland, Kelsie Dunham of Ohio, Whitney (Tim Allen) Dunham of West Virginia, Jeremy (Ashley) Parrish and Justin (Rick Scott) Parrish of Iowa. Beverly also has five great-grandchildren; Meallen, Deklynn, Daveigh, Jameson and Andrew.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her grandson Clint Esbenshade in 2021.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home, 313 Center Street, Ashland, Ohio with Reverend Jim Scott presiding. An interment service will follow in the Nankin Cemetery.
