ASHLAND — Trick-or-treat season officially kicked off Wednesday night as dinosaurs, princesses and more filled the halls of The Inn at Ashland Woods.

The Inn at Ashland Woods is a senior assisted-living center and hosts a trick-or-treat event annually.

Children are invited to walk through the halls and get candy from the residents.

Trick-or-treat events continue in Ashland next week.

Ashland Main Street’s annual Costume Capers event takes place Oct. 29 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Trick-or-treat in the city of Ashland falls on Halloween this year. On Oct. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m., children will be able to get their candy — rain or shine. Residents participating in the festivities should turn on their porch lights.
