F. June Lemmel, 108 of Ashland passed from this life on Friday evening, December 20, 2024 in her home at Belmont Tower at Brethren Care Village.
She was born on June 12, 1916 in Mount Gilead, Ohio the daughter of the late Odus and Melvina Maria (nee Pinder) McClenathan.
June graduated from Mount Gilead High School, Class of 1934.
She married the love of her life, Raymond D. Lemmel on February 11, 1950.
June retired after many years from White Westinghouse in Mansfield; and was previously employed at the Ribbon Company in Ashley, Ohio.
Throughout her life, June was a longtime 4-H advisor, a member of the Homemakers Association, and contributed to the Savannah Lion’s Club.
June was a devoted member of Savannah United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her loving three daughters, Nancy (Roger) Wallace of Wakeman, Kathy (Ray) Wells of Chillicothe, and Rhea Lemmel of Chillicothe; her grandchildren, Brian Wallace of Columbus Ohio, Alison (Eric) Barney of Westerville, Gregory (Joy) Wells of Chillicothe, Daniel (Kate) Wells of Frankfort, Ohio, Erin (Chris) Pancake of Frankfort, Ohio, Austin and Andy Starr of Chillicothe, and Aubrey (Matt) Payne of Chillicothe; and her great-grandchildren, Natalie, Nolan, Payton, Katelyn, Garrett, Ruth, Ainsley June, Sarah, and Leah.
In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Raymond D. Lemmel who passed away in 1992.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home. Following the service, a meal and time of fellowship will be held in the Legacy Room of the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Savannah Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
