Thomas “Butchie” W. Trapp passed away suddenly Saturday evening February 8, 2025, at OhioHealth, Mansfield. He was 81 years old. Born January 24, 1944, in Lodi, Ohio, to Glenn E and Ruth Eva (Still) Trapp, Thomas was gifted with a pure soul and good humor. He loved to sing hymns and attend church. He loved going on vacation, visiting Amish country, and spending time with his family and the large welcoming family of his caretaker, Becky Lyons. Thomas enjoyed attending Options/NewHope daily.
Thomas is survived by his sister Berniece (Trapp) Eihardt of Mansfield; nieces, Deborah (Underwood) Cochran and Donna (Trapp) Dickson; nephews, Alan Dean Underwood, Terry Underwood, and Michael Trapp; and great and great-great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Maxine Trapp, and brother David Trapp.
Burial services will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Lexington, Ohio.
