NANKIN — Mapleton FFA member Braden Lialios showcased his exceptional public
speaking skills at Tuesday night’s District FFA Creed Speaking Career Development Event (CDE).
Lialios earned second place to secure a spot in the State Creed Speaking CDE, which will take place on March 1.
The Creed Speaking CDE challenges FFA members to present the FFA Creed from memory and answer questions about its meaning and application to agriculture.
Braden’s strong performance, confidence, and understanding of the Creed impressed the judges and earned him the opportunity to compete at the next level.
In addition to Braden’s success, fellow Mapleton FFA member Cassie Albright also demonstrated hard work and dedication in the competition, earning sixth place.
While she will not be advancing to the state contest, Cassie’s commitment to the event and preparation for the competition reflect her passion for FFA and public speaking.
The Mapleton FFA Chapter is proud of both Braden and Cassie for their efforts and accomplishments in the Creed Speaking CDE.
The chapter looks forward to supporting Braden as he prepares for the state competition and celebrates the dedication of all members who participated.
Congratulations to Braden and Cassie for their outstanding performances.
