Myrtle Ann Carroll age 88 of Ashland passed away on February 11, 2025 at OhioHealth Mansfield. Born on August 10, 1936 in Ashland County and raised on a farm near Olivesburg, she was the daughter of James D. and Zena E. (Donalson) Wharton.
Ann was a graduate of Ashland High School Class of 1956. She had been employed by Ashland College in the cleaning department from 1972-1982, and was previously employed by the Good Shepherd Nursing Home as an STNA for 21 years before her retirement.
Ann liked to decorate cakes, crafts, drawing, reading, shopping and eating out. She also enjoyed swimming, biking and travel in past years. She was also a member of the Diamond Hills Baptist Church.
Surviving is one sister, Shirley Light of Ashland. One sister-in-law Marge Wharton also survives. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Dwayne Carroll and brother-in-law, Kenneth Light
Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday February 17, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Ashland Cemetery.
