Marjorie J. Lawrence, 83 of Ashland passed from this life on Friday afternoon, February 21, 2025 at the Good Shepherd Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on February 3, 1942 in Lodi, Ohio the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary (nee Finley) Pickering.
Marge married the love of her life, Edgar Thomas Lawrence on February 19, 1960. Together they would call Ashland home.
She retired after more than 20 years from Ashland City Schools, where she served as a custodian.
Marge was a faithful and devoted member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Assembly. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, going to dinner with family and friends, and playing bingo.
She is survived by her faithful and loving husband to whom she celebrated 65 years this past Wednesday, Mr. Edgar Thomas Lawrence of Ashland; five children, Randy (Connie) Lawrence, Carol (Brian) Koch, Debra Bowersock, Rodney (Nancy) Lawrence, and Kimberly (Ed Gibson) Byler; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson; and one sister, Karen (Richard) Oeken.
Marge is preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lighthouse Pentecostal Assembly with Dr. Paul Tracy, Sr. presiding. Interment will be in the Ashland County Memorial Park at a later date. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lighthouse Pentecostal Assembly, 323 Steele Avenue, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
