LOUDONVILLE – The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce has awarded Loudonville-Perrysville Exempted Village School District’s C.E. Budd Elementary School the Momentum Award, recognizing significant academic growth on the 2023-2024 Ohio School Report Card.

The Momentum Award is given to schools and districts that improve their Performance Index by three or more points from the previous year while earning a Value-Added progress rating of at least four stars.

The Performance Index measures overall student achievement across state assessments, reflecting how well students perform on standardized tests.

A three-point increase indicates a meaningful improvement in overall academic performance. Value-Added measures student growth over time, assessing whether students make expected progress within a school year.

A four-star or higher rating means students achieve more than a year’s academic growth.

Superintendent Jennifer Allerding emphasized the district’s focus on continuous improvement.

“This recognition reflects our commitment to providing exceptional educational opportunities for all students,” Allerding said.

“Our educators use data-driven instruction, targeted interventions, and innovative teaching strategies to ensure students not only meet but exceed academic expectations.”

Principal Kelly Seboe credited the collaborative efforts of staff, students, and families.

“Our goal is to create an environment where every student can grow academically and personally,” Seboe said. “This award highlights the dedication of our teachers and the hard work of our students.”
