Jeffrey Clifford Jacobs, 62 of Ashland passed away on Saturday morning, March 1, 2025 in the Village at Willowood in Brunswick following an extended illness.
He was born on January 5, 1963 in Ashland, the son of Larry E. and Barbara (nee Shaffer) Jacobs.
Jeff was a 1981 graduate of Ashland High School.
Throughout his life, he worked as a farmer and a beloved school bus driver at Hillsdale Local Schools for many years. Unfortunately, he was forced to retire in 2019 early from the onset of a lengthy illness.
Jeff maintained an active lifestyle. In high school, and after he was actively involved in F.F.A at Hillsdale, a member of the Ashland Dairy Committee, and proudly served as a trustee of Mifflin Township. He also served for more than 15 years on the Ashland County Fair Board.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Lauren (Keenan) Jacobson of Battletown, Kentucky; his mother, Mrs. Barbara Jacobs of Ashland; two beautiful granddaughters, Dorothy and Mabel Jacobson of Battleton, Kentucky; two brothers, James (Joanne) Jacobs of Ashland and John Jacobs of Sunbury; his former spouse, Cheryl Jacobs of Ashland; one niece; and three nephews.
Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Larry E. Jacobs who passed from this life on July 26, 2022.
A private family service will be held in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with interment in the Ashland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Ashland County Dairy Committee, 1740 Township Road 65, Jeromesville, Ohio 44840.
