David P. Braden, Sr., 73 of Ashland passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025 in University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.

Dave was born February 19, 1952 in Ashland, the son of the late Paul Clifford and Barbara Jean (nee Alexander) Braden.

He graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 1970. After high school, he proudly served in the United States Army.

Dave retired from Whirlaway Corporation in 2016 and was previously employed at Premium Building Products.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed woodworking and both shooting and loading muzzleloaders. In his retirement years he loved to travel and go to antique stores.

He is survived by his loving life partner, Terri (nee Lonardo) Braden of Springfield; his five children, Norman Hill of Ashland, Carrie (Paul) Burch of Medaryville, Indiana, Sue (Jonathan) Carr of Savannah, Crystal (Juma John) Muye of Lexington, South Carolina and Paul (Lee Anne) Braden of Mansfield; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two step children, Mary Garchor of Elsworth and Andy Garchar of Springfield.

In addition to his parents, Dave is preceded in death by his wife, Goldie Braden who passed from this life on July 25, 2015.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral with Mary Garchar presiding. Interment will follow in the Imhoff Cemetery where the Ashland Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct full military honors. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Following the service at the cemetery, a meal and time of fellowship will be in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1951 Middle Bellville Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44904.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home, 313 Center Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
