Hubert F. Keen age 90 of Ashland, passed away on March 22, 2025 at University Hospitals Samaritan Regional Health Center.
Born in Buchanan County, Virginia on August 20, 1934 the son of Garlie and Alice (Street) Keen. He had been a resident of Ashland county since 1996 and was currently residing at Brookwood Place.
Mr. Keen was a veteran of the United States Army and was employed by Babcock & Wilcox in their Nuclear Division as a weld inspector before his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren’s events.
On July 5, 1955, Hubert was married to Helen Lockhart who precedes him in death.
Surviving are two children and their spouses: Karen (Dan) Willard of Nova and Randy (Michelle) Keen of Stow. Also surviving are five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Three sisters and one brother also survive: Kathleen Boyd, Jean Smith, Peggy Pinkerton and Ron Keen.
In addition to his wife Helen, he is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister, Bill Keen, Jim Keen and Gerty VanDyke.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Ashland County Memorial Park with Chaplain Dean Pierce officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brookwood Place and staff of University Hospitals Samaritan Health Center ICU for their care of Hubert while he was a resident and patient.
