Karen V. Keller, 63, of Polk, Ohio, passed away on Sunday evening, March 23, 2025, at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on August 28, 1961, in Lakewood, Ohio, the daughter of Donald and Carole (née Maresh) Van Orman.
Karen graduated from North Olmsted High School, Class of 1979. She went on to further her education, earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Wright State University in 1985. She later obtained an associate’s degree from North Central State College.
On February 14, 1995, Karen married the love of her life, Randy L. Keller.
She retired after working as a volunteer coordinator at the Wayne County Humane Society.
Throughout her life, Karen was a devoted animal lover, cherishing her canine and feline companions as well as her beloved horses. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Karen is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Randy L. Keller of Polk; her mother, Carole J. Van Orman of Mansfield; her children, Russell W. Keller of Wooster and Jessica L. Keller (Matthew Cucco) of Medina; her brother, Donald J. Van Orman (Susan) of Bellville; her sister, Vicki V. Reiman of Port Clinton; and nine nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald L. Van Orman.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home, 313 Center Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805 with Reverend Kevin McClain presiding. Interment will follow in the Ashland Cemetery. Following the service, family and friends are invited to the Legacy Room of the funeral home for a time of fellowship. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
