Paula Watts, 71 of Greenwich Ohio, passed away from medical complications on Tuesday, April 29th 2025.
She was born on February 5th 1954 in Ashland, Ohio to Marion and Thelma (nee Shriver) Hartsel.
Paula married the love of her life, Clair Watts, on May 9th 1981. The two were married for 39 years before Mr. Watts’s passing on June 27th 2020.
Paula graduated from Crestview High School, Class of 1972 and Bluffton College in 1976.
In her free time, Paula loved baking cakes and was also a member of the Eagles Club, American Legion, Senior Citizens of Ashland, Golden Ages of New London and Sarah Corpus Chapter of DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution). Paula was a substitute teacher from many area schools and also worked for Lawson/Dairy Mart, Neff’s, Gerwig’s White Barn and Buehler’s Grocery Store. She enjoyed cooking for many dinners or special events held at the American Legion for a lot of years.
Paula is survived by her siblings, Dean (Linda) Hartsel, Carol Engel, Patricia (Arden) Fitch, Pamelia (Ron) Koppler, Portia Hamilton, Peggy (Howard) Keller, Phyllis (John) Lariscy; a sister-in-law, Doris Ann Hartsel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband; brothers, Marion Junior Hartsel, Roger Hartsel, Donald Hartsel; and a sister, Gloria Cook.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025, at 11:00 A.M in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Arden Fitch presiding. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Paula will be laid to rest in the Ashland County Memorial Park on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 11:00 A.M.
