ASHLAND — The girls softball tournament trail will crisscross Ashland County this week.
Ashland, Crestview, Hillsdale and Mapleton all will host sectional finals in the coming days, while Loudonville won’t stray too far from home.
The Arrows earned the No. 5 seed in the Division III northwest district tournament draw and will host No. 6 Mansfield Senior at 5 p.m. Thursday. The winner will meet top-seeded Madison in the district semifinals at 4 p.m. May 22 in Willard.
Division V
Crestview picked up the No. 2 seed in the Division V northwest district draw. The Cougars host No. 7 Willard at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Division VI
Hillsdale earned the No. 2 seed in the Division VI northeast draw, while Mapleton and Loudonville are seeded 11th and 26th, respectively.
The Falcons will host No. 30 Oberlin, while the Mounties welcome No. 17 Canton Central Catholic for sectional finals at 5 p.m. Wednesday. No. 26 Loudonville heads to the northern part of the county to take on No. 8 Black River at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
