Jonathan David Mitchell, 22
Jonathan David Mitchell, 22 of Ashland passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025 in his home.
He was born on June 9, 2003 in Massillon, Ohio the son of James E. and Melissa (nee Bigler) Mitchell.
Jonathan graduated from Abeka Academy, Class of 2021.
He was employed as a 3rd year Electrician’s apprentice and was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Polk.
Throughout his life, he loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He enjoyed playing his guitar and banjo. Jonathan was a gamer who loved playing Fortnite and Rocket League and building Legos.
He was kind, giving, loving, had a brilliant creative mind and appreciated a good laugh. He played card games with his family and loved to play pickleball.
Jonathan is survived by his loving parents, Jim and Missy Mitchell of Ashland; six brothers and sisters, Victoria, Abigail, Nathaniel, Lillian, Stephen, and Kaitlyn; his maternal grandparents, Richard “Dick” and Lori Bigler of Rittman; and his paternal grandmother, Linda Mitchell of Ashland.
Jonathan is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the New Liberty Baptist Church, 425 US Highway 42, Polk, Ohio 44866 with Reverend Daniel Siekbert presiding.
Flowers are appreciated and the family asks that any memorial contributions be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
