Ruth Ann Harris, 69 of Ashland passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday evening, July 29th, 2025 in her home with family at her side.
She was born on July 7th, 1956 in Ashland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Allen Stuart.
Ruth graduated from Crestview High School, Class of 1975. She married the love of her life, Dennis Harris of Ashland on September 24th, 1983.
She was a dedicated mother, loving wife and substitute teacher in various roles with a specialty in cosmetology. She was a longtime business owner and hair stylist of Ruthie’s Styling Den for over 30 years. Ruth enjoyed gardening, canning, walking, traveling, sewing and spending time with family. She was a very dedicated grandmother and often helped family in any way she could.
Ruth is survived by many cherished friends and family members including her loving husband of more than 40 years, Dennis; two sons, Matthew (Karra Likes) Harris and Kevin (Tracy) Harris; and her grandchildren include Micheal, Evelyn, Vivian Harris, 3 siblings and a beloved family dog, Groucho Harris.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and various loved ones.
An intimate graveside burial service will honor Ruthie’s wishes in the Ashland Cemetery.
