Sherrie L. Dean, 63
Sherrie L. Dean, 63 of Ashland passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, August 29th 2025, at UH Samaritan Medical Center.
She was born on August 24th 1962, in Huntington, West Virginia to Delbert Pack and Lula Mosley.
Sherrie married the love of her life, Ruben Dean, on June 14th 1980. The two would continue to go on to celebrate 45 years of marriage.
Sherrie’s career as a STNA in Home Health allowed her to blossom as a caregiver. This compassion did not stop in her workplace, Sherrie and Ruben decided to open their hearts and their home to care for numerous foster children and create many memories with their blended family.
She is survived by her heroic husband, Ruben; four adopted children, Cassie (Kevin) Pritt, Crystal Dean, Douglas Dean, and David Dean; ten custodial children; Her siblings, Tammy Mosley, Margaret George, Braith Pack, and Tracey Pack; Her sister-in-law, Mary Dean; Her Father Delbert(Wanda) Pack; Her Mother in law, Alice Dean; numerous foster children; cherished nieces and nephews;many beloved grandchildren;and her caretaker Amber Rusyn.
Sherrie is preceded in death by her mother, Lula Mae ; Her siblings, Charlene Morgan, Robert Mosley, and Robin Mosley; Her Father-in-law Jim Dean; and an adopted son Matthew Dean in November of 2022.
A celebration of life in Sherrie’s memory will take place on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 4:00P.M. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Trudy Bates presiding. Friends may call two hours before the service from 2:00-4:00P.M.
