Monroeville finally found a way to top Collins Western Reserve 27-20 in Ohio high school football on Sept. 26.

The first quarter gave Monroeville a 7-0 lead over Collins Western Reserve.

The Eagles registered a 14-0 advantage at intermission over the Roughriders.

Nothing was decided in the third quarter, with Monroeville and Collins Western Reserve locked in a 14-14 stalemate.

The Eagles got the better of the final-quarter scoring, finishing the game in style with a 13-6 edge.

Last season, Monroeville and Collins Western Reserve faced off on Oct. 4, 2024 at Monroeville High School.

In recent action on Sept. 12, Collins Western Reserve faced off against Ashland Mapleton and Monroeville took on Greenwich S. Cent. on Sept. 12 at South Central High School.
