ASHLAND — The Arrows will face a familiar foe in the opening round of the playoffs.

Ashland earned the No. 7 seed in Region 7 of Division II and will host No. 10 Mount Vernon in the opening round Friday at 7 p.m. at Community Stadium.

Mount Vernon (6-4) was an Ohio Cardinal Conference affiliate from 2017 until leaving for the Licking County League in the fall of 2024. Ashland (9-1) was 7-0 against the Yellow Jackets during their stay in the OCC.

Ashland County’s only other playoff-qualifying team will get a week off.

Hillsdale earned the top seed in Region 27 of Division VII. The Falcons (9-1) will host either No. 8 Conotton Valley (7-3) or No. 9 Zanesville Rosecrans (6-4) in a regional quarterfinal at 7 p.m. Nov. 7.
