Jeffrey W. Bahr, 67 of Ashland passed away on Friday morning, October 31, 2025, in Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
He was born December 3, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois the son of the late Clarence “Yogi” and Nancy L. (nee Bell) Bahr.
Jeff graduated from Mapleton High School, Class of 1976. He furthered his education as a journeyman electrician and became a certified electrician. Jeff proudly served in the United States Army during the Persian Gulf War.
Jeff retired from McClintock Electric in 2024 after many years of service.
He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Throughout his life, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling and was an avid Cleveland Brown fan. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Jeff was a true Christian man who accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
He is survived by two sons, Chris (Heather) Bahr and David Bahr, both of Ashland; three grandchildren, Ava, Evan, and Chase Bahr; his siblings, Vern (Traci) Bahr of North Fairfield, Steve (Cindy) Bahr of Ashland, Tom Bahr of Utah, Kim (Gary) Smith of Ashland, and Alan (Amber) Bahr of Ashland.
In addition to his parents, Jeff is preceded in death by his brother, Greg Bahr; and his sister, Denise Bahr.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Bethel Baptist Church with Reverend John Bouquet and Reverend William Ludwig presiding. Full military honors will be conducted by the Ashland Veterans Honor Guard. Family and friends may visit two hours prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
